Default Do you have your Divers certification?

Just wanted to find out if alot of reefers were also divers? I just completed my certification and will be traveling to Cozumel for 2 weeks to use it! I went through PADI what about everyone else?

I have been diving since 1982 and an instructor since 1992. It was my love of aquariums as a kid that got me interested in diving.

"Not yet." One day I'll get it ... at a point in my life when I can use it for something more interesting than Minnewanka at a frequency higher than "once every 10 years."

What do you mean you can't swim? The only excuse for not being able to swim is if your missing all 2 legs and all 2 arms...

Then you would love diving...because the object is mostly to just sink. When you are on the surface, you just inflate. I suppose one should probably know how to swim in order to dive, but I bet someone could fake it for decades before anyone figured it out!

You don't need to swim to dive, just sink!!

Anyways, I'm a Divemaster & I did my swiftwater rescue tech many years ago. I still go quite often on our local wrecks with some of the guys & gals at work.

Love the 'cold water' diving out on the coast here. Just getting into and am almost all geared up. Once I get over this cold I am going to finish my advanced course and start diving alot.
