Euroreef RS-135 Skimmer

I finally bit the bullet and got a REAL skimmer. It's only been 2 days since I revamped my sump and put this sucker in, but the results are amazing.

Literally plug and play. I got heavy thick foam in about 5 minutes. It's been 2 days and the cup already has about 1cm of dark green gunk. I'm totally blown away.

Keep us posted on how this skimmer works out for you. I just ordered an RS-180 from J&L's boxing day sale but haven't received it yet. I don't expect it to arrive until late next week. It will be going on my 90 gallon for now but ultimately it will be used on a 135 gallon FOWLR.

I've been using one of these for the past three months and it's been awesome. Consistant performance at 1.018...

I was spoiled with my old skimmer, having it drain to a 2L coke bottle. It seems very inconvenient for me to have to unscrew the collection cup all the time, so I added a drain nipple to my new Euroreef now:















I decided to go with larger tubing so that it's less restrictive. It's 1/4" ID.

i've had this skimmer for 4 months now, and i finaly figured out how to get it to run well about a month ago. noobness on my part, though, not on account of the skimmer.

I get a cup full of dark wet skimmate about every 4 days, and it's been set and forget now. haven't touched it other than to empty it for about a month now. great unit i think. i run at 1.025
