Have been given the green light to get back into one of my old hobbies...reptiles.Does anyone know of any "dwarf monitor " breeders in Alberta?Looking for red or yellow phase Ackies.I know this board is reef related but thought I'd throw that out there anyway.

Try kingsnake.ca they are really one of the simplist websites to use for breeders in canada. I have used it to try and find a black and white argentine tegu. Also Reptiles magazine has a few issuses with lots of info on dwarf monitors.

As far as I know there aren't any ackie breeders in Alberta; although, there are a few in Ontario but I forgot their names. You may also want to try http://www.kingsnake.com/donpatterson/main.html. Don is a breeder on Vancouver Island and he used to work with this species but I do not know if he still is. Ackies are amazing monitors and I was actaully going to import a group from the US a few years back but decided to stick with my ball pythons instead. Anyways, try inquiring on www.reptilescanada.com or www.ssnakes.com. I hope this helps and good luck with the search.

Its very hard finding someone who has these, but I'm not giving up.Several years back I use to have 2-300 reptiles on the go and had contacts all around canada and the US.I really want to get back into breeding and selling again.I remember when I first brought several red phase bearded dragons in from the states, they cost a fortune, now you can get one cheap.
