my dog of 11 years died yesturday.

first pet close to me that i've ever lost.

it sucks...

fortunately, it was a quick death. she had a few sezuires and that was it..it was over within a few minutes. before that there we no symptoms at all, she was out and about hunting like she always does...then she lied down for a rest and that was it...

I am sorry for you loss. I have not lost a pet in along time but to know your pain. Im glad she went quick and moved on to her new home fast.

Sorry to hear about your loss! It sucks losing our 'best friend'! Happened when I was 7 years old.

Yeah, as CptCleverer suggested, remember the good times. Just know that you were great friends to each other!

I hope that feeling of sadness passes for you and you are left with all the good memories! Again, sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear that dude.. Its always a tough time.. I lost 2 of my pets within the span of a couple months a cat and a 10 year old Iguana..

thanks all.

being the first pet i've lost that I've had long enough to really bond with, it's hard feeling compasionate for others unless you know the experience yourself.

the sadness has yet to pass, but remembering all the good ol' times are soothing. the memories are timeless inside my head.. there are so many things to remember that we've been through together.

here's a pic my father sent me a few days before she passed away.

she was a border collie/siberian husky cross

there's a hill on the farm she always perched on to watch over the dugout, so we buried her on top of the hill so she can watch it forever..
