Default Protein Skimmer

Does anybody own a Sea Clone 100 Protein Skimmer? Just wondering how well it skims your aquarium. Also, does anyone have one for sale?

Thanks,
Stan

They're not the greatest, but are still better than nothing. If your looking to buy a new skimmer maybe pass this one up for something like the Remora. If you realy want a sea clone 100 I have one that I might part with. (Worked great on my 33 gal, but wasn't enough for my 90.)

Also they do seem to work a little better when used in a sump for some reason. Lot's of people are doing low cost ($5) mod's on them that realy up's the performance. (I was just too lazy for that and bought a Remora for the 90.)

If you can get one for between $50 and $70 it would be OK, but if you have to pay more keep looking.

What kind of Mods are being done to the SeaClone? As soon as I got it I put a better adjustment device on the air tube, and I did see some suggestions on reef central to cut the center tube shorter, but I can't seem to get the tube out to cut it shorter...Any suggestions?

I was thinking about getting a seaclone, but then someone told me that they bought one and upgraded to a remora the next week. I don't think a sea clone's a good idea...

They work OK for a small tank, just not as good as some others.
