Default 3G Reef

I had an idea on how to keep sps in a pico tank, lets see how it goes... trying to use what i have exept for the tank and lighting.

Tank 3G Fluval Spec
Lighting: AI Prime
Filtration: a sponge, carbon, live rock, live sand, DOS 100% Daily Auto waterchange from 180's sump ( pulls from return chamber, and dumps old into drain chamber)
ATO: Float switch, breakout box and solenoid
heater: 50w eheim
flow: tank standard 50gph pump and nozzle

livestock: 5 blue leg hermits, 1 nassarus snail, 1 trochu - planning on 1 fish maybe 2 and a starfish, maybe a max mini anenome.

test corals: chalices, montis, acan, green pocillopora, a mushroom and a finger leather.

more details to come, still trying different things with the ato. Cant decide on fish...I also feel like i should get a small long mr aqua instead, switch it up before im too invested...

Day 2 -

Very good pics. Not sure what camera you are using, but I really like the close up fine detail.

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.

ive had a few planted tanks.... the secret is to fully plant it and blast it with way too much c02 and light before adding fish. the plants all get healthy roots and you dont have to worry about gasing your fish lol.... ya the reef was sweet but got a little neglected with a 30G and 180G to maintain aswell

Nice looking planted tank. I used to have a 55g planted tank but it got to the point were I was in there every second day pruning so when we moved I sold it all off. My daughters have been asking for a fresh water tank of their own and I'll soon have a 20g long they can have. Seeing your little tank makes it really tempting. I should just stop looking at Canreef.
