Works great Ive been using one for about 6 years. I have a 90 gallon and I need to change the filter about every six months.

The tap water purifier provides pure DI water. The only downside is that the amount of water you get out of a cartridge depends on your water source. I got about 50g per cartridge when I used it, so for a small tank, it is ideal.

You can also recharge the resin using lye and muriatic acid. I have 3 cartridges that I recycle.

I'm using the same filter device. Haven't changed the cartridge since I bought it (Jan 04). Its still about 1/2 good.

Since we're on the topic. Has anyone had any personal experience with the RO/DI unit that's on ebay? The one sold out of Vancouver? I'm looking for something for my 180 and I want one the best, however, I don't want to pay industrial price for it.
