Id please
Hey everybody. I was looking at the rock my orange ricordea is on tonite and I noticed that it is a lot bigger than it used to be. There seems to be polyps of an LPS type on the rock. Fleshy bubbles of sorts, purple with dark purple spots. I can't find anything that matches this so I thought I'd try and pick everybody's brain on this one. Oh and forgive the skeleton in the pic my regal angel has decided to pick my brain.
I should say that the actual rock is the purple part on the lower left side, everything else is all fleshy part. See how it's even pushing the ric away. Thanks everybody. Scott

I have discovered that this is a form of bubble algae. Neat looking but no better than the green form we so know and love. On the plus side my newly aquired yellow tang, which replaced the regal angel on monday, has developed a taste for it and it's almost gone.
