Default Vertex 180

I'm building a sump and am wondering what the water height should be in the skimmer chamber. I am going to run a vertex 180 in the sump.
Anyone know what the water height should be?

The baffle I put in is 17" I guess I'll cut it out and shorten it then.

I run mine at 8-10. My sump water level is probably 12" and I put the skimmer on a shelf. Works great!

8" to 10" height is standard for most sumps as a skimmer "box" height.

I wouldn't cut your baffle height down. Use some eggcrate and pvc to build a stand to raise the skimmer to whatever height you want. Here's a picture I found of one as an example.

I run my IN-280 in 10" of water I believe
