Default Single Bacterial Strains From Vodka Dosing?

I have noticed that there is some weird things going on in my tank for the past month or so which I am assuming is a single strain of bacteria growing and taking over from my vodka dosing.
Most of my LR, dead corals parts, power heads, and almost everything else thats not glass has a fuzzy growth on it, which looks kinda like moldy bread fuzz. If I scrub it with a tooth brush it comes off easy but theres way to much of it and it just comes back after a few days. It is collecting alot of detris and other garbage which is making it very hard to keep my rock work clean.
Anyone else experienced this or know of a fix?

Try using MB7. It adds beneficial bacteria to your tank to aid with carbon dosing, whether bio pellets or vodka.

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.

Besides adding different bacteria I would also add some white sugar and white vinegar into the vodka. Then cut back the dosage a little.

Ya, I'll echo the others. Cut down on your dose to start with. I use MB7 + VSV (vodka, sugar, and vinegar a la Glassbox. I get a similar bacterial colony as you describe in my pipes. Every once in a while I'll scrub it out but it's not detrimental.

You're just dosing too much. That's the classic sign to cut back a bit. Using multiple carbon sources never hurts.
