We just got a bunch of new live rock, and in order to restructure the tank and build all the new live rock, we need to take out a couple of our inhabitants, mainly our spiny urchin as he's kind of a prick (haha!). And our yellow tang because she likes to hide behind the rock, and we'd hate for some rock to fall on her in the process.

As a sump would probably be the best solution, we unfortunately do not have one. Just wondering if it would be alright to put them in a bucket with some tank water for 30-60 minutes, or if there are any alternative solutions to this. Sorry if this question is silly. Thanks in advance.

No problem... just make sure the water does not get to cold.
