LF majano wand (buying, borrowing renting)
Hello,
I have a very bad aiptasia infestation in my humongous tank at work. I'm looking for a majano wand (to buy, borrow, rent) to eliminate the big ones to help my peppermint shrimps. I can't find any locally or online in Canada. I'm located in Vancouver. Thank you E. |

no lead on a wand but any way to get some of that rock out?
theres usually a berghia breeder on the forum looking for aiptasia.

Unfortunately the tank is too deep and rocks too big for me to take them out, and I have long arms! I thought about berghias but I would need at least 35...and those are not cheap!

Kill big ones chemically. Aptaisa X works, Majano wand is a waste and doesnt work good at all.
And from mouth of Majano Wand inventor himself: "I invented and patented the Majano Wand and there is a reason we didn't call it an Aiptasia Wand. Although it will kill those, apitasia's are much faster than Majano's (which the Wand was built for) and they quickly dehydrate and pull themselves into the rock. If they are facing up, you can make a salt slurry out of a little salt and seawater so it is thick, using a baster, pile that over the creature and it will quickly die like in seconds." |

Like I said before, my issue is that I can't reach them as the tank is huge , therefore I can't kill them chemically. That's why I thought about a wand, to get rid of the bigger ones. I have peppermint shrimps but they don't touch the big ones. I'm also not keen on putting on my swimsuit in front of the entire office :/

Well, good luck with whatever you end up doing. I am just saying it will be a waste of time and money to use something that clearly isnt made for apitasia.

I honestly don't know what to do anymore, so if you have any other idea I'm open to suggestions. The fact that the tank is huge leaves me with very few options. I'll try to find the local berghia breeder on the forums. |

Also if I get berghia, they will probably be food for my peppermint shrimps...
