I have a 250 gal tank with a 100 gal sump, 40 gal refuge built in and my reef octopus pump died on me. I wondering what are your thoughts on a different pump Do I stay DC or go back to a mag 24 pump? The DC pump I have is just over a year old as well. I will have to try and get warranty.

I'd probably go with and Eheim if you can get enough flow.
I have a Jebao DC-12000 pump and it's my second, my first died in under a year. Once this one dies I'll probably use an Eheim 1262 which I already have. Good luck getting your RO (Diablo?) DC pump warrantied, a friend's Diablo died in under a year and the local LFS wouldn't warranty it and sent him to the distributor. If Reef Octopus won't warranty it, I am done with Reef Octopus and the LFS. |
