Default Anyone know where to get pickling lime in canada?
Either online or in shops? I cant seem to find it, so any help would be great =). I'm in Montreal if you know of anyplace here.

You cant get pickling lime in Canada its a banned food additive here

And from what I hear It's damn near impossible to get it even in the states. I guess one of the main suppliers who produce the stuff, went under, creating shortages, and it's back ordered by months.

You are kidding me... we cant get calcium hydroxide? Well, next time I go visit home (I'm from NY) I'll bring back a load.

I'm talking about pickling lime! Is that what you are thinking too, or actuall calcium hydroxide. But yah it sucks!!
