Default 29G LED Upgrade with Ecoxotic Panorama Pros

Great little overview of the Panorama Pro LED modules and what they are capable of:

http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/inde...st=40&start=40

So got my Ecoxotic Panorama Pro Modules in the mail yesterday and Couldn't wait to get home to install them. After a good 45 min (Took my time to do a clean job) I was done WOW is all i gotta say. Tank look so much nicer, still gotta get use to the shimmer, getting maybe a little too much shimmer but I will play with that later.
Also thinking I need some more Muhahahhah Might end up picking up another pro and a stunner strip to complete my setup.

Ok here are some pics showing what I did, enjoy:

Before:

Step 1: Gut out all un necessary wires, I decided to keep the one transformer from the stock hood to run the fan.

Step 2: Place LED modules in desired place and mark holes

Step 3: Drill holes for the Module

Step 4: Using washers I made a spacer for the mounts so that air can circulate underneath the module.

Step 5: Mount remaining Modules

Step 6: Running the wires through existing holes of original transformer line

Step 7: Place protective lens back onto hood.

and

Enjoy

Although as all of you know the picture does not do it justice, and all my corals where sleeping when I put the lights back on since they where in the dark for awhile.

Is it the same color in person as your pic? Seems like the original pic was quite whitish and the new is very blue. Hard to compare.
Don't mean to be critical, just curious.

i dont think this is martins tank... had to search high and low to figure out what the color combo was, as this appears to blue for my liking.

Yes this is just a post of a customers tank. The color combination is 12000k White/Blue module and a Blue module. So pretty heavy on the blue here.

I'm still not able to take pictures with LED's over a tank . I wouldn't be suprised if in person this is MUCH better.

By the way, this is by far the cleanest install I've seen for this style of hood good job!!!

okay this is going to make me sound like a noob
(yeah I'll admit it)
but your lighting kit is EXACTLY what I want for my biocube
could I get a detailed list of what was purchased?

I've decided LEDs are the way to go after I saw the prices of bulbs lol.

2 x http://www.modularled.ca/panorama-pro-led-module/

2 x http://www.modularled.ca/ecoxotic-power-supply/ (60watt)

In this setup the color choice was one Blue and one 12K White & Blue Panorama Pro.
