Default Ghetto Reef **Update**

Well after a few months "Project Ghetto Reef" is almost ready for fish a coral. It started out as a quarintine tank in the 5' crawl space of my house and kinda took off from there.
I wanted to see how cheap I could build a reef with everything purchased from Canreef I came up a little short ghetto stand from wood I had and a heater from Big Als boxing day sale.
So far the tally goes:

- 29g, Live sand, 1# rock & 2# rock covered in 75 zoos..$30 (Thanks Harveys friend Kaygen)
- 400w MH... free (Thanks Rich)
- 20# Live rock... $80 (Thanks Russ)
- 2 Powerheads... $18 (Thanks Dez)
- 500AC filter... $10 (Thanks Vic)
- Prizim Skimmer... $15 (Thanks Vic)
- 10k Bulb... $55 Aquaria.ca (Thanks Rich for ordering in for me)
- 150w Heater B.A...$20
- Misl wood kicking around from other projects...free
- Loving wife who can't figure out why I would put a tank there....priceless..(and she's standing behind me .. Hi Dear)

Total $228

...And the quarintine tank
- 5g....free (Thanks Rich)
- 12" PC light strip...$20 (Thanks Dez)
- Heater and powerhead I had

Everytime I meet someone they have a story had cheap they set up tanks whether it's glass, equipment or livestock tag on and share
Now the pics

I recently lost all in progress pics due to spyware and having to reformat

Now to fill it if anyone has frags or fishy's to sell PM me

Nice job, and quite cheap. I did my 210g for only 2000. which i think is cheap for how big it is but far from 200.

When that tank is overgrown with corals... remember me as one of the people who made it possible .

I wish I could say I spent that much on my 33g setup... Just the lights themselves costed me around 300 bucks .

Looks good, keep us posted on your progress
