Default Calgary people........ or even Eastern British Columbians.

I may have to drive to Calgary from Vancouver in late September early October. I was wondering what the road conditions on the #1 would be like in the Mountains?

My buddy who lives there says there could be snow around then. I'd rather drive then fly because I have a lot of stuff to bring over there.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Cheers,
Vic [veng68]

check the weather and road reports at the time, as weather is not dictated by us. Usually the roads are getting pretty covered by snow at that time of year, but I guess we will all have to wait and see.

I used to drive truck AB/BC and found BC good at clearing the roads. After a storm they were normaly clear by the next day.But it can snow every night for a week straight or not at all that time of year.Best to keep your eye on the forcast.A rain storm in Van. can take about 3 days to work through the mountains and dump alot of snow along the way.
