Default Drain pipe diffusor.

I need something to slow down the water entering the sump to prevent micro bubbles. I have a 1.5" drain pipe going into my sump. Currently I tie a filter sock on it but it's annoying to change it.
I don't have enough room for the hanging sock as sold by some dealers.

anyone have sugguestions?
my problem is the bubbles pop and make for a lot of salt creep.
I have a durso setup from the top and changing it to another is not an option.

thanks.

Maybe try slipping a square of foam around the bottom of the pipe at the water line. Might stop the popping bubbles.

Is your drain submerged in your sump ?

If so, what about a piece of acrylic with a hole cut out for your drain, to block the bubbles ...
This is my main drain ( submerged ) and emerg ( with a trickle showing )

If you are sucking air down your Durso I can't be much help

Default salt creap

defiantly submerge your drain 1" into the water and i switched my durso to a stockman-takes up less room.

I like the looks of these designs:

It looks like it would be pretty easy to build one.

Yeah if you are sucking air into your drain then you will have to try to get rid of the micro bubbles somewhere else in your sump ( I sugest filter floss in a baffle).

If you aren't sucking in air then a submerged drain would be the best.
