Default Lighting a fuge with natural light?

Weird request but has anyone ever tried lighting a refugium with natural light before? I know if your tank sits in natural daylight that promotes algae growth so why wouldn't it work for your fuge? I know it's just as easy to use a cheap light from home depot, but for this particular idea I have in mind, it would make more sense to use natural light, still in an insulated room though.

cant see why not, you might need some additional light in the fall and winter months but in the summer I think you'd be fine
