Default LED Moonlighting Test

All of the pictures are located here. Click on pics below for bigger pictures.

Using the new LED fixtures I got, I wanted to test out how bright they were going to be for moonlighting once I get it setup. I was planning on using 2 fixtures (each fixture has 3 LEDs), however after tonights test, we'll, one almost seems bright enough.

Here is a question they look a bit too strong, What it you took them apart and painted half with a black paint and left the other half open

if you know what i mean or use a type of tape and then cover it back over with the cover. So if you had one on the right the the left side would be open and the right side is painted. and and opposite for the other side.

wouldthat help in the staging of the light displacement...

You could just point them up into the reflector for your other lights. that would disperse the brightness a bunch

Sorry for the late reply. I was speaking with the company to see about getting a discount on a bigger order, however I don't have $500+/usd to put down

The company is: AutoLumination.com

They have 2 types of these fixtures, the 3LED and 8LED. 3LED for $4.99 and 8LED for 6.99 (all usd pricing).

Both type of units operate at 10-15.8 volts and draw 50-80ma (depends on the color of the LED, checked it myself).

Their shipping is pretty cheap (which is good!) and they ship it out pretty quick (within a few days). Never had a problem with customs as they ship via USPS. For what its worth, I've ordered from them 4 times (for numerous stuff) and they only screwed up once on the order (sent me the wrong quanities of a certain product, however they quickly fixed the issue).

You'll need a powersupply to power them. I ended up buying this switching power supply from Lees Electric in Vancouver. It outputs 12v @ 3.33A, which is prefect as I plan on running 5 of these units on my fuge, and my moonlighting, and also my stand fans, and whatever comes down the road. It costed about $40, however i'm sure any small powersupply you can buy at Radioshack will work fine.
