Default Maxi-Jet PRO

Anyone tried the new Maxi-Jet PRO powerheads? I see they come with an updated version of the old Sure Flow upgrade. I'm wondering if these are any quieter than the Sure Flows? I like that they are smaller than Koralias, but their really cheap price ($25 for the 1200) has me skeptical.

By Loud do you mean the chatter on start up when using with a wavemaker?

The SF kit wasnt designed to be used with an on off wavemaker thats why they chatter so much.

I am interested in them as well but like you the low price tag has me skepticals. But on the other hand worse thing you have a MJ1200 still to use.

I found the powerhead to noisily rattle around while in continuous use with the Sure Flow kit. Very noisy. I have 2 or 3 Sure Flow kits collecting dust in my fish room. Now I think of it I should use it for a mixing pump. LOL
