Default need tips on cycling

just about to cycle my tanks but am getting so many different stories....no light, need light, no fish, need fish,skimmer on, skimmer off??.<!@#$%^

Anyone???

run the system and put in a fresh dead shrimp from the grocery store (uncooked) test your water every week wait for the spike then wait for it to go away then start with your clean up crew this whole time remember to keep doing water changes every 2 weeks

Hi,

Here is an article that you should read.
Let the skinner run, lights are optional (matter of opinion). You don't need fish for a while yet.

Read and read some more

Try Probidio start-up.. worked awesome for a 12gal nano I set-up.. everything was testing 0 in 2 weeks
