![]() We are pleased to announce the impending launch of the Galileo LED modular system from Pacific Sun.
![]() ![]() ![]() This little unit packs a mightly punch and brings it in line with what many have been waiting for. Galileo, is loaded with XP-G LEDs, measuring up at 8.6″ x 5.1″ x 1.9″. This small size makes it ideal for Nanos and smaller tanks with its wide 120 degree optical spread, meaning that where before 2 similar sized units would have been required, now only one would be required. The fixture comes with Cool White 5W, Natural White 5W, Royal Blue 3W, Blue 3W Cree XP-G LED. The system will come with both standard on off control but also an active port input which makes it possible to connect with a GHL ProfiLux controller with all 3 channels independantly controllable with features such as cloud cover sunrise sunset and storms. The units can be dasiy chained coupling further units together of so required. Marketing starts in April and available shipped from within Canada and we will be offering a group buy through Progressive. Group buy price of $549.00 Regular pricing will be $649.00. Bundle packs with the Profilux light II controller and Pus II controller will be offered also. Last edited by Aqua-Digital; 03-11-2011 at 10:12 PM. |

![]() The Galileo is suitable as a single module for systems up to 18" square and of course can be daisy chained so for example 2 units will be ideal for a regular 36x18x18 aquarium

![]() This SO depends on the aquascaping of your system, if it is wall to wall SPS like my 24" cube then I would go for either the Black Python (like I have) or two of these.
However if you are less dominant in SPS and can afford to either raise the fixture or do not have SPS from side to side then one would suffice. The spread of these units is wide, no optics = natural 120 degree spread so it gives a lot to play with but if stretching its band, you will get PAR drop off on the outer limits. |
