![]() I have built a rack to hold floss to help remove some of the crud floating around my tank. Where would the best place to put it in my sump? I could fit it in my first compartment where I had my fuge ( didn't but the sand back in yet ) or I could put it in the return compartment.
Opinions please

![]() I'd say anywhere where it can be guaranteed that flow goes through the floss and not just around it .. and yet can harmless spill over when it eventually gets clogged. Only tank I run floss on myself is my FW tank and I have it where water enters the sump. When it's time to change out it just spills over into the sump.

![]() Yeah exactly what Tony said. I may do this on my next tank as I hate cleaning my socks and I think having the crud collect in there for a 5 days is not helping with nutrient reduction. I'd buy bulk and just toss the floss every other day.

![]() That is what I was kind of thinking as well I tried it in the return compartment and it seems to work well. Flows through nicely and will spill over when clogged. But it only take a day or two for it to get clogged.
