Default Very Impressed with Hydor/Koralia Service Department

Well, I had a couple #2 powerheads, and the impellors broke. I was told by someone that if you call them, they will send you new ones, no charge... Well, a few weeks back I did just that, and they were right. Two new impellors are in the mail as I type this.

Now saying this, a few days ago, I emailed them to ask a question about my hydor skimmer, as I cleaned it on Sunday (complete cleaning of all 3 pumps) and now the 2 recirc pumps are noisy, really noisy. So noisy, that I have taken them apart 6 or so times, trying to figure it out. This skimmer was whisper quite, until the cleaning. I wanted to ask them if they have any ideas, and they came back that it is probably the impellors. Well they don't look damaged to me, and how do I wreck 2 impellors just cleaning. Personally maybe the skimmer just needs to run a bit more and the slime build-up will damper the noise. But Hydor is sending me two needlewheel impellers for the unit now, and I didn't even ask for it. And if it doesn't work, they will look at other reasons after that.

I must say, very impressed.

+1 on that. I managed to lose the little plastic washer (that I didn't know was there) in a Koralia 2 while I was cleaning it. I called them and they send me a couple of replacements, no charge.

A few weeks later, I bought a skimmer from a Canreefer that was missing o-rings. Another call, another 'care package' is on it's way.

Most of these things cost pennies to a few dollars. Add a few bucks for postage and you have great customer service that has me recommending their products to my friends.

you can't BUY advertising like that and even if you could, it'd cost a helluva lot more. These guys make good product and stand by it. What more could you ask for ?

+1 Lost the same little washers, emails exchanged and they showed up in the mail a short time later. Hard to beat service like that. It's paid them back well too. Hydor powerheads are all I use for flow now.

As far as I know the only thing in the koralia powerhead they won't replace is the motor body itself. But I think it's pushing it too far already if you demand a free replacement for that anyway.
