i would imagine shipping would be expensive on one of these unit's even if you do find one :/

Yeah but at the prices the LFS are asking for them, it might still be worth while. I'm actually comtemplating abuying one from the US right now.

Have you looked at J&L aquatics...they have a sale on right now for Ecoplus chillers. I think a 1/4 horse would work for you well.

Hum... i would love it if that 1/4hp chiller would do the trick for my 180g but it's rater for up to 170g.

Well, when it says rated for 170, it says that it can move it down 10 degrees. I'm doubting that you need it to move you 10 degrees so then it would probably be able to move your tank 7-8 degrees . I don't have a chiller myself so you may want to inquire with others about their thoughts on it.
