Default Need light advice...

I went to see a friends tank, which has T5 hang over. The color is awsome! compare to my MH+T5, that just apples and oranges. Is there any ideal can help me to bring up more color from the coarl?
I have a 48' MH+T5 Combo, 4 * T5(blue) + 2* MH(has been changed once for more blue color), some SPS in the tank.
Thanks advanced.

If you are using the t5's for supplements try using KZ fiji purple, they work really well.

It could be that the corals in your friends tank is more colourful due to other reasons beyond just lighting choice. A lot of other things contribute to the health and colour of corals. For example, water flow in the tank, dosing of chemicals for alkalinity, calcium, or low nutrient water. Placement of corals with respect to the light source us a factor as well.
