![]() Well here it is, finally. I also tweaked my standpipe today so I can finally sleep without earplugs.
![]() ![]() However, with very little venting, there is an absurd amount of humidity in the stand. How do other folks with enclosed sumps handle this? Is it something to worry about? All my power outlets are in my stand, as well as my wavemaker. Do I need to vent it with a fan?

![]() Hello,
No fans?! I wonder if that would have a gas exchange and/or temperature problem. Some quiet IceCap fans would do. Titus

![]() Looks really good Quinn. I still use black cloth pinned up for my stand cover!
![]() Venting your stand is probably a good thing. The radio shack 4" fans aren't that loud but cost 35$ and I don't think I'd reccomend them. There are also these cheap 6" desk fans for 6$ at Walmart. I use these to cool my MH ballasts and blow on my sump. They're cheap and they work!! Is the back totally closed off? |

![]() Looking good Quinn.
some vent holes and a fan blowing in would IMO be very recomended.

![]() go to a hydroponic store and spens 26 bucks on a 120 cu^ft/min fan. In my opinion the icecap fans are a waist of money (as with any of there products)

![]() I put a fan like the ones in my canopy into the stand, it has really helped, it feels a lot less humid in there. I am now deciding if it works better blowing in or out.
