Check with Western Pump. Apparently they have a very good selection of fittings.

PVC gate valves are insanely hard to find in Calgary. Don't know why. Western Pump didn't used to have them, what they had that they called "gate" valves were in fact "knife" valves. Don't know if that's still true nowadays but I'd be surprised. I think Red Coral is about your only bet for a proper gate valve. Before Red Coral came along I always had to mail-order for gate valves. Ocean Aquatics and Bulk Reef Supply and J&L are places that will have them. Maybe mops.ca.

One can convert a knife valve to a gate valve if one was willing to DIY - just have to replace the stainless rod with stainless ready rod, do a little tapping & install a thumbscrew... It's extremely cost effective in comparison to buying a true gate valve...

Last time I did it, might have been due to the older tap - it did have an extremely slow drip at the threads coming out of the valve; but the previous 3 conversions didn't...
