Default Dart Orientation

Does the discharge on a Sequence Dart have to exit the pump vertically? Can you rotate the volute or the pump itself to have the pump discharge horizontally?

Thanks all.

I can't recall where i read it but the poster stated that wasn't a good idea. Poke around on RC. That was where I came across it. I was once considering that myself. The drain plug would also not be very useful if it wasn't on the bottom.
