Default Loctite Crazy glue.

I just picked up some gel control loctite superglue and was wondering if anyone uses it? the only reason i ask is i notice it warns about the ingredient cyanoacrylate as a poison and wonder if itsOK to use for fragging.

I have used a couple of containers of it and have had no problems. All the corals that I attached with it are fully encrusted. I also used it on a coral piece that had a white dead spot and the white spot is slowly being covered over.

I use it without any issues. I think you need to look for that ingredient in order for it to work well underwater. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

cyanoacrylate is neglibigly toxic; check wiki for a more thorough explanation. cyanoacrylate is in fact the active ingredient in all superglue. when it contacts water, CA quickly polymerizes and interlocks each of their molecules in a lattice like formation; that's why it solidifies. if it doesn't have CA, it probably won't work.

didja know CA was originally used in 'nam? it was used to slow/stop bleeding wounds

for the record, i prefer the superglue gel. I can't count how many of those freakin tubes Ive used up.

Cyanoacrylate is a fragger's best friend. ALL "superglues" are the same thing - cyanoacrylate.

Picking up on Justin's story, it's still used instead of sutures on occassion to close wounds after surgeries
