Default What type of rare fish would you want?

I got an early birthday (which is this Sun. Dec 7) present of a book about angelfish. Which got me thinking; What type of rare(ish) fish would you love to have if you could?

For me I want a king/passer angel (which I plan on getting in Jan.) and the spectacled/conspicillatus angel is pretty cool too.

If you add the passer do it last they can be very agressive my 3in was squaring with my 6in emporer RIP.

The conspicuos angel is another nice fish aswell that I have only seen once in my lifetime it was ordered for a customer here in the lm going for $1200. If you like angels check youtube for the clarion angel, if I had a million dollars I would definately buy that fish. I asked my freind how much it would cost for a 6in and he said probally around 7-9 thousand ouch

I've been warned about the passer, did your passer kill off your emperor ? As much as I want a passer I don't want him to hurt/kill my other angels. I've had a bit of luck with aggressive fish (my sohal and clown tangs never bother each other or other tank mates) so here's hoping, but he'll be the last one in just to be on the safe side. Not sure I'll be able to find or afford a conspicuos but they're cool.

Nope the passer was one of the last to enter the tank and at first was shy. My emporer was largest and most dominant however after many battles with ich he couldn't shake it for the last time a few weeks back.

Makes me really sad to talk about it. I had him for over a year, my little french would clean him but now little frenchie is not so little and I guess while he would still clean the emporer he took bigger bites and what I figured was the ich got under the skin of the emporer and that was goliaths downfall. Prazi pro but it was too late sigh

peppermint angel

or one of the more unique hybrids that you occasionally see.

(The patchy yellow tang that David Saxby has is pretty nifty)

Default Rare fish

I've had a Conspiculatus Angel before and they are absolutely awsome!!

I would definitely recommend them just as long as you are an experienced reefer and have a mature large tank. The conspic is very friendly (too friendly....always wagging it's tail when it saw me) and intelligent; amazing color.

A friend of mine, overseas, just sold a Conspicullatus and Personifer Angel Hybrid. The selling price was insane. Beautiful fish.

I'll post a pic of it later when he emails it to me.

If you want a super rare fish, I can get you the Apolemichthys Kingii. PM me for the price.

Also, the interruptus angel (Centropyge interruptus) is another uncommon fish if you like the rare and unusual.

Cheers,

Ian

I saw the peppermint in my book, he was cool until I found out they're twenty thousand dollars!
