Default Stupid Skimmer Question

I'm running my BM250 from my big tank on my 90 gallon till the big tank is up and running... My question is, should I run both pumps on the skimmer or just one? Do I want a skimmer this big to run full out on a small tank?

The main concern involved with over skimming is removing trace elements from the water too quickly. This can be a concern with tanks containing large amounts of coral and tanks which lack frequent water changes. Also since iodine is easily skimmed your inverts may have problems molting, an iodine additive will fix that problem.

To cut back you can disconnect one pump but it may be easier to simply lower the skimmer level and skim dryer.

While the tank is still cycling I'll let it run..once I start populating it I'll see what happens.

Thanks Steve
