Default Plexi Glass Cover?

Hello everyone, I recently purchase a 125 Gallon tank(well today ). I was wondering if I could just cut a piece of plexiglass and use it as my cover? If not anyone have advice on what else I can use

If you aren't using metal halide lights (they would melt the plexi if they get hot and close enough), then sure it would be fine. Just realize that heat will get trapped in the tank so you might want to watch the tank temperature carefully in the summer.

you might also consider an egg crate tank cover.

Default plexi

Plexi is fine, just make sure it will be easy to remove for cleaning etc. It will hold in heat in the summer and I agree lighting will be an issue with it. Will also reduce evaporation. Have you priced out a glass cover? Might be cheaper. Egg crate is a good suggestion as well.
