Default Coral spawning(large pic)

Heres a pic of my stag spawning. You can see eggs lining the branches before being released into the water column.SPS keepers enjoy!!

That's very Cool!
I have never seen something like that before. Thanks.
Do you have moon lighting?
Is there any variables that you know of that makes this happen in your tank?

No I dont have a moon light. But I think that letting the coral grow large and mature is the key.

Hey Chris,

I was wondering were that piece came from? I can't seem to recall.
Very intresting I might add. I would also have to agree with you on the fact that you let your pieces grow to a mature state. Not only has it proven them to spawn but they are spectacular to look at, at that size. Awesome.

That piece came from Perkeys Pets a couple or so years back. It was only 1 branch about 2 inches tall, for $20. That was back when they would bring in the occasional SPS shipment.
