Default Kent aquadose jug dimensions

Hi,

If anyone is using the Kent Aquadose jugs for fw/kalk topoff, I'd be interested in your opinion of them. Also, if you would be so good as to measure it for me (especially the 2.5 gallon model, below, but others might be useful too) I'd appreciate it. Can't find specs online and I need to figure out whether I can stuff one into a very limited space.

Many thanks!

Regards,
Nevin

The 2.5 gallon is 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 7" tall. The spount on the front sticks out another 1 1/4", and the screw top sticks out 1 1/2". When you get it, and you figure out how to put it together, you let me know ok? I've had mine for about 8 months, and I gave up trying to figure out how to hook up the tubing to the spout.

I bought it at J&L, and they couldn't even help me. I posted a thread on RC asking people how to put it together, and no one could help. So I gave up...

Thanks Myka! I'm not surprised at the lack of instructions given the amount of information I've found so far on this product. Anyway, it won't fit in my stand, though I suppose I could put it somewhere nearby.

Does anyone know of other cheap IV-drip type dosing/topoff systems? Something I can connect to my own container would be ideal.

Regards,
Nevin

What part are you having trouble with? I could post a couple of photos if you want.

Any plastic jug, a threaded in GC fitting, little tubing and a valve to control drip rate.

If for ATO add a float valve.

Can't beat Home Depot or Rona.

Default Drip top-off

Mark, what is a GC fitting? Does the following look like the type of valve you had in mind (I need a slow drip, not a trickle)?

Many thanks! I knew there had to be an easy way to do this!

Nevin

Sorry, meant JG (John Guest) not sure what happened to my fingers.

What I'm meaning is you can try something like I'm using for my reactor. It's the small line that comes off the 45, the first piece is threaded in, then the valve. You can use the valve you posted just pushed into the tubing. The valve I've shown isn't used to control the reactor, but for disconnecting, though a have the same valve just above the reactor that I use to set the drip rate. Take a look in HD as the place is good for ideas.

I see often called JG so started calling them JG myself as lot of people recognize the name. The ones carried by HD are made by by another company.
