Default What corals okay on a BB

Brought the wife down to the LFS and got her to point out what she likes.

Seems to like brains (Wellsophyllia/Trachyphyllia), how are they on BB?

Bad. I had my 65g as a BB at first but the friction between it's bottom & the glass caused tears and injuries. After I added 1" of sand, no more damage.

I have a brain on bare bottom right now but it has only been there for a week. so we will see.

Anthony, mind never seams to drag on the bottom so I never though that would cause a problem.. I will keep a close eye on it as I like the brain but I will have to trade it if It can't do good on the bare bottom.

I wonder if a think sheet of star board would help in this case.

I dunno, I've got five open brains in my trigger tank, all are on the rocks or bare bottom. Can't kill 'em, even tho the trigger drops stuff on them all the time.
