![]() I would be more interested in seeing feedback from people who use this too. Would this take the place of the closed loop or powerheads?
.....I just sent them an email with a few inquiries... I'll let you know the results. |

![]() Asked same on Reefcentral http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...hlight=wave+2k
Doesn't use pumps, just a motor outside the tank (no heat transfer) moving like a piston up and down for 4000gph. |

![]() Well I installed the 2 Wave2k's in my tank, and I am satisfied. There is tons of flow. The product could be refined though. Cosmeticly it is not the prettiest thing. It is also a little noisy, with a constant humm coming from the motors. However its no worse than my coralife circulating pump. They take up a fair bit of room, but do not stick out as much as the overflow boxes.
To make things look nicer, I covered the boxes with a wall of homemade live rock. This will benefit as I hate the look of coraline on anything but rock, and the corals will grow up the back wall too. I posted dome photos of my new tank in the tank photos section. How do I upload them to a post? |
