electonic ballast not overdriving??

so..I guess it doesn't work for all electronic ballasts? I have a "standard" fluorescent ballast and no matter how many leads I put to a bulb it burns the same brightness

is that some internal regulator or something to prevent me from blowing myself up?



any ideas?

the ballast has 2 red wires, 2 blue, and 2 yellow. the red/blue wires are the leads.

perhaps if i wire them in series?
