Default Silicone setup

I just put some partitions in my sump yesterday afternoon and was wondering how long people let this stuff setup before putting the water back....getting anything from 6-8 hours to 24 hours from people in the industry locally....it is not for strength just holding things in place.

thanks

Quinn

24 hours for strength, but you can get it wet as soon as it skins over. If it isn't dry enough though, it can leach acetic cid into the water. I did this once and al my fish jumped out of the tank.
Waiting 24 hours isn't so bad...
