Default Quarantine tank filtration

I'm setting up a 10 gallon quarantine tank and I was wondering if I was to use a TLF reactor with carbon that would flow out in a mesh bag with seachem purigen would be sufficient to filter the tank?
This is mostly to quarantine corals, not so much fish as I have what I need.
I have approximately 3lbs of live rock in the tank.

Do you have an old AquaClear hang on filter kicking around? That's what I use. I put filter pads in it and carbon.

I did
But I gave them away and a 20g tank 3weeks ago to a co-worker that wanted a small tank for his son.
But I do have what I listed just sitting around.
