Default Bubble Tip Anemone's under Power Compacts

Hey all.

Bought the livestock from a shutdown.

One of those deals where the the seller was looking for a quick sale and didn't want to list all that was included.

Wound up with a bunch of nice frags...15 or so, but the pick up also came with 2 Bubble Tip Nems...both around 1 or 2 inches....so very little and I assume quite young.

They are currently in my stock RSM 130, which has 2 x 55 watt Power Compacts.

Should I move these guys into a better lit tank or has anyone had success/experience keeping them under pc's?

I helped a small RBTA recover from almost dead to a now split twin of ~6" each. I have LED but they sit on the sides in the shade over 24" below the surface and have never moved, I feel like they'd probably do fine under PCs in an RSM but I haven't done it myself.

Since I put them in the tank on Friday night, they haven't moved.

One of them immediately settled at the bottom of the tank.

They both look quite happy, as far as not looking shriveled goes anyways.

I appreciate that feedback...thank you.

RBTA don't require high lighting, medium lighting is all they need. Should be fine on power compacts. I have raised RBTAs on power compacts, T5s and LED with no issues.

Good luck.

Thanks for that insight.

I wasn't expecting them, as the shut down I purchased said only frags and even then, didn't specify which frags.

Love a bonus like this.
