Are you referring to blastomussa wellsi , as opposed to blastomussa merletti?

I wish I had the courage to frag it , but because it's grown into more of a ball shape im scared lol

They actually frag very well. I use to just take the edge polyps with a dremel wheel and glue them to the plug/disk, done and done.

Yes when they are spread out flat on a rock it's much easier , but these have grown in a ball shape so it's hard to cut through the skeleton without damaging the polyps on the other side.
