Default i'm seeing stars

ok after placing a new chunk of lr in my tank .ive been finding little ratther attractive starfish around my tank and and they look to be feeding on my green star polpys,there only little ones less than half inch accross pale looking legs and a orange center,i can find a ID pic anywere,if anyone one knows were i can or any other advice please post thanks ..john

How many arms do they have. I remeber reading an article about these little starfish with like 6 or 8 leggs that eat corals the dont get big. I think i may have been on this site even.

Not sure what those would be John. Can you take a pic. I have seen lots of the little white/sand coloured mini stars in tanks, including my own. Never seen any that would harm corals though, but for sure they do exist and could come as hitch hikers on new rock.

i didnt have a camera at the time ,i havent found anymore though i removed them just incase though thanks for the posts guys .

Most of us here in Calgary have mini starfish in our tanks. The body size is around 1/4 inch. The legs are around 1 1/2 inches long. The legs are striped with pink. If that is what you have they appear to be beneficial. I have hundreds in my tanks, and I like having them there.
