Default Tug of war

Well last night I got into a huge epic tug of war with a very large bristle worm I managed to grab the body of the worm with a set of tongs and the epic battle began neither of us giving ground it was very powerful and after 10 minutes of steady pulling managed to pull the worm about an inch out of the rock at about 15 minutes the rock the worm was in started to move which really surprised me as it was pretty well socked in between to other rocks.

All the while was having the tug of war had 3 cats wondering what I was doing and watching TV at the same time. After about 20 minutes the tongs were fully out of the tank still holding on to the worm which I estimate had extended well over 2 feet and several inches of the worm was out of the water at about 23 minutes my coral banded shrimp finally put an end to the battle by grabbing the worm near the rock and started to claw its way through the worm and suddenly my arm flew back with 7 inches of writhing worm and quickly dunked it in fresh water and did a measurement of 6 and 7/8 inches and I estimate another 4 to 5 inches stayed in the tank.

No thanks to my coral banded shrimp I was both a winner and loser in this epic battle of wills and was extremely surprised at the tenacity and strength of the bristle worm. For my troubles got some rearranged rock 2 soaked cats and a very tired left arm and half a worm. Makes me wonder how many other monster worms I have in the tank.

Freaky

Ha! The cats got what they deserved....negative reinforcement to stay away from your tank.
