My 6Line never jumps, but he terrorises my royal gamma, which stays hidden unless I feed, in which he darts out. It's a 180g tank. If you can catch your 6 line and take him out, and then add him back once the gamma is settled in, you should be fine.

I had a 6 line in my 20g for about an hour. one jump and a little carpet surfing...that was the end of it.
I have another six line in with my royal gramma right now, and they tolerate each other. Except when food is involved.

I have both in my 130 reef with no issues, the gramma was first by a couple months. They play quite nicely together, swimming within inches of each other with no fighting.
