Default Silicone for acrylic?

I just used marina brand silicone sealant to make a mini sump for my nano, will this stuff work for acrylic?

No you need a solvent for acrylic. methylene chloride

It will hold, but not very well and for who knows how long. I recommend WELD-ON #3 or #4.

Smile Have Weld-on 16

I have a couple of new spare tubes of Weld-on 16 which also works. Let me know if you need a tube of it ( $6.50 each, 5 oz ). I am in Burnaby.
