Oceanview enterprise distributor still in business?

Anyone deal with these guys before?
I have a problem with some Ecotech stuff and after troubleshooting they directed me to Oceanview Enterprise as the canadian distributor.

I've been trying for weeks to get a hold of them with no response.

Any info? And ideas?

Hmm... yah I dunno...
they directed me to that distributor, said the serial number I provided came from them...

After telling Ecotech the problems I've been having trying to contact the distributor they said they can ship me the parts but I will be responsible for shipping and duties etc.

Welcome to the world of Canadian distributors. All that goodwill you see posted around by various companies and their US presence when things go south? Yeah, throw that out the window for us up here.

Yes, I agree. It seems to be quite the challenge to get some support.

Called another distributor and she said they can't get the parts in Canada.

So, guess I pay shipping and fees from Ecotech USA.

Just curious though, If you understand French, could you please call this number and translate for me. After listening to it again, with my very limited French comprehension, I think it may say the line is no longer in service.

just to update.
Ecotech says shipping is $34 USD which is about $43CDN + any duties/fees.
This is for 4 little pieces of plastic lol.

so out of frustration and principle, I didn't think this was acceptable so off to the web I went and finally found a way to get a hold of the original distributor.

He says he will order the parts for me. So I will sit tight and see what happens.

I thought Reef Wholesale was a distributor of Ecotech. Have you reached out to Patrick?

However good luck getting parts from anyone in Canada. I have been waiting for a wetside for 3 months. $480 power head sitting there doing nothing.

Regarding Reef Wholesale, yes Ecotech has now advised me to try contacting them. I did reach out to them previously and it seemed I was going to have success with them, however in the end they said it was out of their jurisdiction for whatever reason. I did shoot them a message again to follow up since I was now directed to them.

You may be right about the problem of parts in Canada. It would appear that if I were in the states I would've gotten the parts in a matter of days!

I'm blown way to be honest. We pay a premium for an over priced product by an industry leader and here you are spending evenings on the phone trying to chase down parts that ecotech should have had in the mail after the 1st phone call. What's next, calling Bulk Reef Supply?
