Default 28 gallon hqi (might be pic heavy)

Well Recently purchased this item from another boardie, thus upgrading my 24 gallon dx. Its been up and down with this over the past few weeks, after merging 2 1 year + tanks, the 28 was established over a year and a half ago, and the the 24 was a merge of a 12 so parts of it are over 2 years old.

Anyways got the final peice to the puzzle in tact today. So its time to reveal it .

The original 12 cube. Right before I broke it down.

The 24 late day of when I bought the 28.

The side by side, as I waited for the 24 to clear.

The Reef Keeper elite arrival and sloppy install.

The 28 set up, (been having microbubble issues)

The new quarentine set up,

And the work of the day The aquafuge

Hoses and cross overs didnt come easy today.

ended up plugging up a return hole due to space issues in the back. just running 1 return now. api test tube cap did the trick.

Moved the vortech at the end of the day for got it would fall without magnetics, crush coral :/

Anywho Hope you enjoyed my first post on this tank.

can you re size your pics please, hard to see what you have done when you can only see 1/4 of the pic at a time.

thanks
Steve

I'm happy to have it, and thanks again gd for the awsome deal. The thermostat went out on the chiller, but the controller has that covered now.

But im sad to report, I couldnt sleep last night and had a flashlight look over in the tank. Might have to nuke the rock for the future good of the tank. Found aiptasia, zoa eating nudis, sundial snails, a gorilla crab that has been around for 2 years, but i saw him carrying a zoa head and ive only seen him 3 times. And my clown has parasites now. So I got my work ahead of me if this is going to be successful.

hmmmm, sad to hear that... I never had any problems with any of that stuff

Did you buy some new rock also, maybe it came in on that. As for crabs, only had some hermits, nothing else, not even hitchhikers, unless I never saw

Keep in touch

nah, the crab is from awhile ago. But i thought he had long since passed. hes been through every reef tank ive had, over the coarse of 2+ years but Ive only seen him 3 times.

As for the rest of the stuff who know wheres it came from, the nudis and sundials, are so small its some kind of rediculous, I was looking very hard. just another learning experiance in my mind.

and after today its looking like im going to have to go with ATO. So i guess thats the next hardware purchase. Luckily some of this stuff is transferrable to a bigger system.
