Very cool little jellyfish . I've run into these in one of my baby fish cultures . They multiply like crazy and eventually took over the entire 10g tank killing everything in it. It was pretty cool an entire little tank was filled with thousands of them .
I think in our bigger reef tanks they may appear as hitchhikers but disappear real quick in the pumps and such. |

it is an upside down jelly fish.i usually get them from my brine shrimp eggs.you might see them as small stalks on your rock before they release into the water column.you can raise them in a small tank as they feed on light as well as a bit of phytoplankton.they can grow up to 6 inches

Yup, I had a bloom of them when I first started my 5 gallon and they just died off themselves after awhile. I still see one or two every once and awhile. I agree with Anthony, definitely a medusa stage of a hydroid. |
